Q: You have incorporated Kristi's work into two clients' homes so far—what drew you to her piece?
A: Kristi’s work is exactly what the name reflects, it’s Happy! Her pieces bring a smile to my face. When placed in the right spot in someone’s home, her art adds a whimsical yet sophisticated touch.
Q: In one of the homes, you paired an original with an embellished acrylic. How do these pieces work together, and how do they compare to simply seeing them online? (It's tricky to capture the real beauty and essence of Kristi's pieces through a camera lens!)
A: The pieces we chose work together nicely. They are placed in different rooms so you cannot see both pieces at once. Once they arrived, you really can see how the embellished artworks sparkle from every angle. They have so much movement and personality, it’s almost magical. The original pieces are clean and refined with the perfect amount of color and fun.
Q: In your opinion, how important is art when pulling together a design for a client?
A: Very important! Art is the finishing touch to complete a room and can give a hint into the owner's personality.
