FAQ

ART

Absolutely! We love hearing from our collectors and are happy to help out in any way we can. Simply send any questions you may have to hello@hapiart.com.

We also offer complimentary art consulting to members of The Collector’s Circle, our rewards program. We can work our magic via email or video chat, without having to be “in” your space. Simply fill out the art consulting request form to work with one of our consultants and get personalized recommendations for your space. (Feel free to share pics of your walls in need and we can even show you what they’ll look like!)

Not a Collector’s Circle member yet? No worries! You can sign up here.

Most of our items are made to order especially for you. If you’re looking for a specific size of print or finished frame size, just email us at hello@hapiart.com and we'll see what we can do!

Simply put, an original work of art is one-of-a-kind. It was created once, and by the nature of its materials and production method, for example a painting, it can’t be exactly re-made ever again. The mark of the artist’s hand is usually most immediate and apparent in original artworks.

A print is a reproduction of the painting. Though the term “reproduction” may make you think twice about the value or integrity of an artwork, this technical term actually encompasses a vast range of meanings. Quality is so important to us, we use high-quality, archival materials like thick, sturdy paper and UV-resistant ink, which will resist wear over time. The Special and Limited Edition works are created especially on thick acrylic and hand-embellished with cut-glass glitter, giving each work a unique twist that brings it closer to the feel of an original.

CARE & MAINTENENCE

Each framed piece comes with a "french cleat." It's attached to the back to show you how it fits. When you’re ready to hang, just remove the tape and use the cleat to hang the piece on the wall. We recommend using long screws and anchors to hang the cleat.

HANGING STEPS

1. Hold the cleat against the wall, high side facing OUT (so the frame can “hang” over it) and make sure it’s level.

2. Mark the three holes.

3. Insert the anchors and screw the cleat into the wall. And voila! The frame will fit right on top like a puzzle piece, secure and flush with the wall.

If you want to see this process before you attempt it, just search “french cleat” on YouTube.

We recommend using Sparkle Glass Cleaner. Do not use anything with ammonia, as it will scratch acrylic.

Use a very soft rag, like a cloth diaper or microfiber to clean with.

If scratches occur, we recommend using NOVUS—this is a great product for acrylic.

Be sure to keep your art in a place without excessive moisture and heat.

Most art is framed with a beautiful linen backing, which is a natural fiber and any major changes in the heat and humidity can cause it to swell and ripple. This will usually resolve itself when the temperature returns to normal, but we recommend keeping the temperature controlled.

While our lucite-frames provide excellent protection in bathrooms with showers, we recommend our acrylic prints for areas with large amounts of steam. Check out our selection of embellished acrylic prints.

*The linen backing may wrinkle a bit with steam but once temperature returns to normal this usually resolves itself.

Given the nature of our 3D works and the materials we use, this will happen from time to time, especially in transit.

The good news is, this is easy to resolve. Each of our custom lucite frames are made to allow for easy access to the works. Simply unscrew each of the screws along the sides of the frame and carefully lift up the cover. See care instructions above to clean and/or gently wipe away any excess glitter. Then return the cover to align with the screw holes and screw each one back in place.

Our linen pillows and poufs are for indoor use only and are created from some of the finest fabric in the industry, imported from Libeco in Belgium. The natural linen fibers will soften over time. We recommend spot cleaning, and dry cleaning only when necessary.

RETURNS & exchanges

We do accept returns and exchanges on prints, pillows, and poufs. Return process must be initiated within within 5 days of receipt. Items must be returned undamaged & in original packaging. Funds will be credited upon receipt in the form of a merchandise credit.

Hapi Art will supply a return label or schedule a return pickup. Shipping charges will be deducted from merchandise credit. If a return label is provided, items must be shipped back within 2 business days. Please email us at orders@hapiart.com for additional details on initiating a return.

Note: There will be a 30% restocking fee for all returned items. In order to avoid the 30% restocking fee, please let us know within 48 hours of placing your order of any cancellation requests. Cancellations after this will be treated as a return or exchange due to the custom nature of our products.

Due to the custom nature of our original art, commissions, rugs, fabric by the yard, and wallpapers, we are not able to offer returns or exchanges on these items.

Since we can’t accept returns on all items, we encourage a bit of planning to make sure you love your order from the start. Our art consulting team is happy to mock-up the art in your space to give you a better feel for how the piece will look in your space. Just email us at hello@hapiart.com to get started.

Sample sizes are also available for our fabrics and wallpaper. We highly recommend ordering samples, especially if you’re unsure or torn between a few different options. We’ll even credit back the cost of a sample for any piece you end up purchasing.

Our team is also available to answer any questions you may have before you buy. Feel free to contact us at any time and we’ll be glad to help!

Kristi has collaborated with a small number of select companies that offer a limited range of her early work. The main difference when purchasing from our studio is that you are getting the highest quality. Kristi carefully selects the best materials and artisans in the creation of your art. To certify this, each piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity showing that it originates from our studio.

We do! The Hapi Art Trade Program offers exclusive benefits to our friends in the industry. You can register here.

Nothing makes us happier than getting to see the art in our collector’s homes. We’d love to see your space and highlight it on our site and/or social media. Submit your photo here for a chance to be featured!

Kristi made the decision long ago to not discount her work, so you can be assured you’re getting the best price available and not missing out. That said, she does love doting on and surprising her collectors, so we started The Collectors Circle rewards program to do just that. Sign up here and start receiving rewards!

You can find us in the charming town of Libertyville, a northern suburb of Chicago. Yes, please come and visit us...we’d love to see you! We work by appointment only. Contact us to schedule an appointment.

Giving back has always been woven into the fabric of Kristi’s art business. Since the beginning, she has donated to FEED Projects and Feeding America to combat hunger, and now donates 1% of all profits to Feeding America. Food is a fundamental right and a building block for everything else in life. Kristi is passionate about doing her small part to help make a difference, so that kids can grow up and pursue their dreams. With every piece of art sold, together we take a tiny step toward ending food insecurity.
